This patient was diagnosed with right breast cancer many years ago. She consulted with Dr. Lapuerta about her options for breast reconstruction. He recommended a TRAM flap procedure to use her own tissue to reconstruct the right breast and then a second stage surgery to reconstruct the nipple areolar complex and a breast augmentation to the left breast for symmetry. 1 year after surgery she feels great and is extremely happy with the symmetry of her breasts.
