This patient was diagnosed with breast cancer of the left breast. Her general surgeon recommended that she consider breast reconstruction immediately after a mastectomy. After consulting with Dr. Lapuerta about her options, she chose to have reconstruction using her abdominal tissue to reconstruct her breast. After 6 months, the patient is free of cancer and is very happy that she decided to proceed with the reconstruction.
