The right breast muscle is absent. The after picture was taken 6 months after her first surgery so the scars on her breast lift are still noticeable and will fade with time. The right breast has a tear-dropped shaped implant and is still high and will come down with time.

Procedure Details
This young patient was born without a right pectoral muscle. Her condition is referred to as Polands Syndrome and it is correctable with Plastic Surgery. She traveled over 3 hours to visit with Dr. Lapuerta and chose him as her surgeon despite the distance. Dr. Lapuerta suggested a 2 stage surgery to correct her asymmetry. The first procedure, he place a tissue expander to stretch the skin over several months. Once the right breast was stretch to her desired size, she proceeded with the second surgery for symmetry. Dr. Lapuerta exchanged the tissue expander for a tear dropped shaped implant and a full breast lift on the left side.6 months after surgery, she is so happy with her results!
