This young patient was born without a right pectoral muscle. Her condition is referred to as Polands Syndrome and it is correctable with Plastic Surgery. She traveled over 3 hours to visit with Dr. Lapuerta and chose him as her surgeon despite the distance. Dr. Lapuerta suggested a 2 stage surgery to correct her asymmetry. The first procedure, he place a tissue expander to stretch the skin over several months. Once the right breast was stretch to her desired size, she proceeded with the second surgery for symmetry.
